March brought a little bit of everything—sips, projects, pollen, and recovery time. Here’s what we’ve been up to!
🍷 Your Wine Stop in Denver NC
A grown-up candy store! Wine dispensers (white on the left, red on the right), sample-size pours, oak barrel tables, and the friendliest family/team running the show. Amazing bottle selection too—from budget to “fancypants.” It’s one of our favorite spots. EXCITING TIDBIT: there will soon be a new "Your Wine Stop" opening up in Sherrills Ford next to the Turtle's Shell and Neighbor's 828 Restaurant--we can't wait!
🌿 Backyard Beautification
We’re big believers in loving your space—inside and out. So, this month we (and by "we," Chris) took on a major yard refresh to make spring and summer evenings outdoors even more enjoyable. He's revamped our landscape lighting that comes with a remote, timer and multi-color-changing options--my exterior illumination expert! 😂 Then, with a huge assist from my sister, they hauled a SH*T TON of river rock to create a more peaceful backyard view!
🍀 A Little Green on St. Patrick’s Day
We kept it mellow this year—just enjoyed the festive vibe with a casual drink at North Harbor Club, Davidson NC and Lake Norman Cottage (aka, Lake Norman Wine Cottage), followed by dinner at Dana's favorite--Havana33! Definitely not traditional Irish fare, but we wore our green and had a great time enjoying the lake vibes. Even Norman got in on the fun—he sneakily snagged a sip of Chris’s beer while sitting in his lap.
Pollen Patrol
Spring may be beautiful, but wow—pollen came in like a tidal wave this month. Everything has a yellow glow, and the lake itself turned into a swirling work of art with pollen spirals dancing on the surface. Gorgeous…and sneezy.
Trail Time at Catawba County Parks (Mountain Creek Park)
On the brighter side of warmer weather, we’ve loved getting back outside for walks with Norman at Mountain Creek Park. The trails are peaceful, the air is fresh (minus the pollen).
🩺 Surgery, Recovery, and Superhero Chris
March was a quiet month overall as I continued recovering from spinal surgery and added a hysterectomy to the mix (a fun combo, said no one ever). I’ve been mostly down for the count, but Chris has handled everything with grace—from real estate to caretaking. He’s truly the MVP this month, making sure our clients never skipped a beat while also making sure I had everything I needed. 💪❤️
🏡 On the Real Estate Front…
Despite the slower personal pace, our real estate game stayed strong. Chris made sure every transaction moved forward smoothly, and we’re gearing up for a busy spring season.
